I've been bitten by the travelbug many times. I think I've been born a nomad. But the bug that bit me this time had a special color... this one is different. I got an idea in my head that keeps coming back to me. "Could I get myself around the world in a car, relying purely on sponsorship?". But then another question popped up in my head. "Could I get myself around the world in a car, relying only on my own sponsorship?"

As of this moment it's nothing more than a small phantom in my head, but these things keep haunting me. When I set out to find more information about travelling the world by car, I stumbled across theworldbyroad.com. An impressive feat. And it doesn't matter how many round-the-world-by-car stories you read, they all have something in common. They excite me even more.

Most of the time you find that these journeys, these epic tales are heavily sponsored. But the real question is, could I pull this stunt off with only money I get from online endeavours that have something to do with this journey? In other words, can I get the trip to pay for itself?

Realisticly this means I'm going to need world's most reliable engine, which basically means a toyota. I'm going to need a car for which I can get parts everywhere in the world, which basically means toyota. Whatever the case may be, the starting sum will be steep. Then there's the cashflow needed to keep the car running, and ofcourse money for food and shelter as well as spare parts, visa's, shipping etc.

I wonder...
